Again Autumnal
Today, the garden plants need plucking
So as to preclude the cold
— And surely yesterday was summer?
Today, the squalling squirrels are tucking
Victuals underground, like gold
— And haven’t you been feeling glummer
Over these last few blowsy, brusque,
And boding days, when tea is dusk?
