Let’s go escape with me forget our fear,

We just have to get in the car, and drive
As fast as we can, racing to the clear.

The fire will always burn, but we must strive
To reach the coast; looking off of the pier,

We can make a new life, and simply thrive
Just you and I, for at least one more year.

It’s here, this vast coast where we can revive
The lives we dreamed of, and not shed a tear,

When we arrive we can start to derive
Safety and comfort; for you are my spear.
