Watched all of this, this afternoon, and laughed a lot. These YouTube videos are getting better and better there is so much to digest and appreciate in each one. By the time you have done the first six, you will have Volume One, and to review it will be a great introduction to Classical Poetry and the current landscape in which it has to operate. Well done all.

Great job, Andrew, James is a very talented gentleman indeed. I find your interviews very interesting and quite informative. A real asset to the novices and beginners. Though I’ve been penning verse for 61 years, I’ll be anxiously waiting for the next episode. Great format, pleasant style. It’s too bad that the SCP site is only able to serve up so few pieces / poet / year. As you know, there’s but a handful of high-quality life-timer-poets like James out there, and this fairly unique venue is one of the few that favors them. After around 7 months of scrutiny, I’ve given *my* blue ribbon to Susan Bryant, hands down. Enjoy your week, young man –

I really appreciate your continued support and comments, Mark. Need more people like you to get onboard with this thing!
Good point about most venues not favoring the life-timer poets. The radicals are always railing against “ageism” (along with everything else), but they are in fact the worst ageists of all.

Relentless banter paced to flatter the listener and interviewees. Assuming good-humor, knowledge, and intelligence in both groups.
And good graphic exposition, Andy, I love your vigorous visuals with their repeats and scissor-sliding fits.
And how grand is Mr Tweedie ? So many plumes and quills in his caps and hands and so many delights on these SCP pages for so long. An astonishment in live tv action here before our eyes and minds.
Well done both, entertaining and erudite.
Live forever both, and may we see more of your nourishing broths in more cook-ups on screen. Thank you !

Thanks Damian. Working hard on the visuals, yes. This is the first episode where I edited the video version prior to the audio-only podcast, and it took longer. But I think the quality shows.
Ha, that “assuming good humor, knowledge, and intelligence” is key—can’t always count on people to have that trifecta of qualities…most people, even. It’s a niche production for sure, but hope it can get the word out all the same.

The best bits were when I thought the recording had been turned off and we were off-script! This episode is a compliment to ABB’s skill as both an interviewer par excellence and editor merveilleux.

Your stories at the end were too good to cut! You can tell I had a lot of fun making the visual accompaniments.

      Thanks for promoting!
