Terrific. Keep writing such piscean gems. Made me smile on a wet afternoon in a plaice called Leek that has to be 70 miles from the sea – about as far away as you can get in England – part of a small island across The Pond.
We love ‘fish and chips’ in the UK (for chips translate as ‘fries’). and you inspired me to respond with this never going to be a masterpiece verse or worse:
Potatoes don’t wear jackets.
“We’re boiling”, they will say.
‘Never mind young Murphy,
We’re having chips, today!”
