.

between friends of 40+ years

“Just what about Obama don’t you like?”

“I fear his plans will force a big tax hike.
His National Labor Relations Board,
Makes rulings which leave business needs ignored.
He’s thwarted crucial strides in energy.
And led the worst fiscal recovery.
Plus handouts to Iran invite attack.”

“You’re only saying all those things
Because Obama’s Black.”

Russel Winick recently started writing poetry at nearly age 65, after ending a long legal career. He resides in Naperville, Illinois.

Exactly! Why is that little fact always ignored?

    Very well done.
The set-up and the knock-out punch are admirably delivered.
    In lightening speed.

Great, fun example to get across a serious point!
You illustrate well the PREEMPTIVE nature of the
comment since one has already made one’s case
re the topic of discussion. Why bother responding … .

Thank you Tonia. The scarcity of genuine dialogue today is palpable and sad.

Good work! All of this comes from the same source. It is the new version of “when did you stop beating your wife??z’

Thanks Sally. I had not thought of that analogy, and it is apt.

Russel, you have hit the nail on the head with this bold poem. Never mind the fact that Obama was voted in by a white majority… when he fails his electorate as a president… the race card is played. Thank you for shining poetic light on the truth… a word missing from present day politics.

Sally, Queen Elizabeth II must maintain dignity. She cannot and must not indulge in salacious gossip… but, I can – MM is a money-grabbing, back-stabbing, home-wrecking cow!
