The Contest

Today in China peaceful Falun Gong practitioners are imprisoned, tortured, and killed by the communist regime simply because of their spiritual beliefs. It has also been uncovered that imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners are used as a living organ bank: they are killed on demand and their organs are sold for top dollar to anyone who can pay—including Americans.

The Friends of Falun Gong Poetry Competition was founded to give people an opportunity to learn about the Chinese Communist Party’s horrendous treatment of Falun Gong practitioners, and to give them an opportunity to speak out.

There is no submission fee.

.

Learn About Falun Gong

  • Comprehensive summary and background
  • Personal accounts of people who survived
  • Quick 10-minute video
  • Official Friends of Falun Gong Competition Page

.

Submissions & Guidelines

Submit one or two poems of no more than 100 lines each. Poems must encompass at least one of the following themes:

  1. Advocate for Falun Gong practitioner’s fundamental human rights.
  2. Expose the crimes against Falun Gong perpetrated by the Chinese Communist Party.
  3. Express why citizens of the free world should support Falun Gong’s rights

Traditional poetry with rhyme and meter is recommended but all styles and forms are welcomed. Poems should be submitted as a word file or PDF file to [email protected] by April 30, 2026, midnight EST.

AI NOTE: The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to write a poem is not permitted. Submissions may be checked for AI content.

Winners will be announced on May 13, 2026 in honor of World Falun Dafa Day. Poems will be judged by a panel chosen by FoFG, which will include Evan Mantyk, Editor and President of the Society of Classical Poets.
