The world ain’t got the balls to take on China
And all them greedy nations wanna sign a
Free trade pact that isn’t free at all—

I know my underwear is made in China,
But I don’t think that I am gonna find a
Pair that’s cheap enough and U.S.-made
Until I get a job that’s better paid.

Who’ve faced a persecution cruel and long.

CCP money is everywhere, corrupting institutions, businesses, and plenty of individuals. Our fraudulent, unelected Biden administration is totally owned by China.
Wow, Evan — tell us what you really think! Seriously, I could feel your keyboard on fire along with a speaker (singer?) incandescent with rage. Well-earned rage at that, for the West has sold its soul to a godless, soulless, monolithic empire which cares for nothing and no one and whose sole goal appears to be the consolidation and expansion of power. I’d love to hear this one set to music!
Powerful song with a powerful message about one of the greatest threats of modern times to us and to the world including their own people!

Right on target, and hits issues so many liberals try to ignore. “You socialists, you’ve got a dead skunk smell.” What a great line, made me laugh like hell.
Speak it! My favorite line was, “They’ve shanghaied us to watch our nation fall.” Nice turn with “shanghaied.” Hilarious. I think you touched all the bases also, pretty good skill there to get through all the CCP stuff in only a few verses. I wish stuff like this would get played, but then the CCP seems to own the music biz also.

I couldn’t help smiling at all the fun and clever rhymes for “China”! I’m of two minds because I don’t like country music, but it’s a good poem, able to be both serious and humorous.

Great job, Evan. All so true. I enjoyed the lyrics and the prolific use of “a” for many endings. I couldn’t help noticing a seeming
unnecessary apostrophe & “m” in the first word of the second verse though.
I can’t wait to hear it. There are several talented musicians who frequent this site who might be able to come up with a tune in the Country idiom.

In case there are other people reading who don’t know me, I am a big fan of China’s traditional culture, language, and history. My memories of “country” include so, so many mournful cadences. This is a piece that shows what singers do when the mourning becomes so overwhelming it sets them on fire!

I think we have another song verse here! People may not realize this, but apparently Tangwu, China is known for producing much of the world’s stock of guitars. Brilliant wording.
